maile-style ti-leaf lei is 6 feet long, open-ended, double-thick and
fringed. It is intended as a long-lasting and sturdy alternative to the
maile lei. A favorite lei of Old Hawai'i, and a plant of protection and
luck believed to have the powers to heal. Ti-leaf leis are very sturdy,
travel very well, and
are suitable for any occasion . These leis may also
be dried.
